Canned Butter!! :]

Brent and I have been working on doing food storage! We haven't done much but Brent's parents taught us how to can butter so we decided to give it a whirl.


So I thought I would share the recipe.

1) Heat pint or half pint jars in the oven at 25o degrees for 20 minutes.

2) 1 lb of butter slightly fills 1 pint jars.

3) Melt butter slowly until it comes to a slow boil. Stir bottom of the pot often. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. (A good simmer time will lessen the amount of shaking required)

4) Put lids in small pot of water and bring to boil. (Leave in simmering water until needed. )

5) Stir butter and pour carefully into heated jars; leaving 1/2 inch head space for shaking.

6) Wipe top of jam rims and put on hot lids and rings. Tighten.

7) Once they are sealed shake to prevent separation. Repeat every 10 to 15 minutes. Refrigerate continue to shake as they cool every 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from refrigerator after an hour.

** Shelf life is 3 to 5 years **

6 Quirks.

I was also tagged a couple of days ago by my cousin Amber to blog about 6 quirks of mine. To be completely honest I have been avoiding it. But here goes nothing.

1) It absolutely drives me BONKERS when someone always seems to be late. If your running later than you anticipated pick up the dang phone and give me a ring.

2) I also I bite my nails.Disgusting I know.

3) I ALWAYS have to be listening to something. I mean always. I go crazy when its completely quiet.

4) It makes me excessively grouchy when I get woken up. I love, love, LOVE to sleep. I could do it ALL day EVERYDAY if you would let me.

5) I am indecisive. I hate making decisions. I am more of a go with the flow kind of girl.

6) I am a guilty shopaholic. I spend money faster than I can make it. If I do have money you can bet I wont have it for long. Its absolutely killing me not having a job.

That was not nearly as hard as I expected. Tag your it if you haven't done it already.

10 things I love about you.

WOW!

What a night. Its offical Brent and I have had our very first REAL fight. I'm not going to lie my intent was to get on here and grip and complain and tell you all of his flaws. But instead I am going to tell you what I love about Brent.

1) He doesnt judge people.

2) He truely loves his Heavenly Father.

3) He is happiest when he is serving others.

4) He loves his family and friends with all of his heart.

5) He is always striving to be the best he can.

6) He NEVER gives up.

7) He puts others before himself.

8) He knows what he wants.

9) The little things matter to him.

10) He knows my past and STILL wants to be part my future.

Newspaper.

Since Tara and Will are in Cottonwood and I decided to stay in Snowflake Brent's little sister Kara has been staying at the house with me. This morning we decide that we were going to have some good clean fun while Brent was at work. We decided that we were going to fill it with newspaper and then saran wrap it. So we went to the Stake House and got newpaper and sat in the parking lot for over an hour filling up the back of his car. Then we drove back over to Wells Fargo and began filling the front... BUT before we finished it started raining. We decided that we had to finish the job despite the rain. Some time along the way Brent's brother Cody and his friend Karl showed up to borrow Brent's car. Well since that was obviously not going to happen they started helping us instead. We were ALMOST finished when Brent saw us through the window in the break room. DANGGG! So we just ran away. At least it we got to fill it with with newpaper.

Head Over Heels :]

All of my dear sisters have a blogs and I was feeling a little on the left out side. So, I decided to make a blog of my very own. I just moved to Snowflake with Tara, Willy T, and the kids. But as hard as it may be to believe I absolutely LOVE it here. Don't get me wrong there is not a dang thing to do here. But I am having the time of my life. Before we moved here Tara and Will decided amongst themselves that Will was going to hook Jenny and I up with two of his tellers at Wells Fargo. Jenny with Brent and Nick with Me. The original plan was that I was going to move up to Snowflake with Tara and Will but I backed out so, Jenny decided she was going to. Alas, Jenny did not. So after a long talk with Tara three days before they were set to move I decided to come along for the ride. I packed up my things and it was off to Snowflake for me. To be completely honest I was kinda scared. I was scared to move to a brand new place where I didn't know ANYONE but Tara and Will. But for some odd reason it felt right to me.

Monday afternoon after we all got settled Tara and I took the kids to Wells Fargo to meet Will for lunch. We were sitting in the lobby waiting on Will when Tara pointed out "Nick" to me. I am NOT going to lie when I saw him for the first time the first thing I thought was 'NO way, NOT going to happen!' I mean seriously I wish I would have taken a picture. He was wearing a red vest with a matching red BOW TIE!! Talk about first impressions. ha ha. Will finally came out of his office and came over to introduce me to "Nick." That is when we learned this fellow was indeed not Nick but was Brent. I felt a rush of relief that he was already betrothed to Jenny. Later that night Brent came over for dinner. He kept trying to make conversation with me but I was NOT having any off it. But his persistence paid off when he asked me if I would like to go out with him. I was skeptical but I eventually agreed. He decided that he had to go and rub that he was out with me in Nick's face. [Nick and Brent are best friends.] When I met Nick I was instantly grateful that I was introduced to Brent first. Sorry Jenny!! Don't get me wrong Nick is a great guy and there is someone out there just looking for him. But that's definitely was NOT going to be me. Anyways, we left Nick and Brent decided to take me to "his spot." He made me close my eyes. He parked the truck and we walked for a couple of minutes. Finally we arrive at our apparent destination. I opened my eyes to find the temple all lit up on the hill. I was truly in awe. We sat on the golf course and talked. We talked for almost 4 hours. At some point it occurred to me that it was getting pretty late. We walked back down to the truck and it was 5 minutes to midnight. I was going to be late. I called Tara and we rushed to my house. It was all down hill from there. We hung out the next night, and the next and have hung out every night since them. [Except when I went to Cottonwood without him.] We are inseparable. We do everything together. He is the MOST amazing person I have ever met. I have completely fallen head over heels for this guy.
